Senior Product Manager

Course Hero is scaling! We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to execute our product strategy, helping millions of students and growing a billion-dollar business. You will lead a cross-functional pod with outstanding engineers to define and build high impact features that help students discover educational content from our library of over X study materials.

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact

• Focus on getting students what they need – Own your roadmap and key metrics, prioritizing initiatives to help students find and organize materials for their courses from our ever growing library of materials
• Work closely with fellow product managers and stakeholders – Collaborate across the organization to build and integrate core features and systems used throughout the product, including our course taxonomy and organization
• Manage complex and ambiguous data sets – Build features and tools to gather user generated inputs, data from external sources, and human annotated data sets. Combine and optimize the information from these many sources into a high quality, presentable user experience for students across the world

Are you our next Product Manager?

• 3+ years of product management experience in a consumer-facing business
• A track record of working with highly technical teams solving complex problems that delivered business level impact at scale
• Detail-oriented, data-driven problem-solving skills with investigation instincts, able to uncover root causes and hidden links from complex user behaviour
• Bias towards taking action quickly, making things happen, and not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Cultivate relationships and collaborate well with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to execute a roadmap effective and optimize for both user and business goals
• Able to work and lead a team independently and asynchronously, flexibility to manage collaboration between your team and teams in different time zones (primarily Pacific Standard Time)
• Able to define and execute independently on user, competitive, and market research to understand how the student experience changes internationally and by degree focus or level
• Proficient with SQL, Google Sheets, and familiar with data analysis tools (e.g. Amplitude, Looker Studio, etc.)

Bonus Points

• Computer Science degree, MBA with quantitative focus, experience as a software engineer or data analyst
• Experience with user generated content (social media posts, user profiles, comments, job boards, classified listing boards, etc.)
• Experience building and optimizing operations processes for teams such as customer service, manual human review, dispute management, etc. 
• Experience working with Tableau or other dashboarding tools
• Experience with scrum and/or other agile methodologies
