We’re looking for an experienced product manager to help lead our cloud cost engineering and insights initiative in Spotify’s Operational Health product area - a part of Spotify’s Core Infrastructure team dedicated to ensuring Spotify's ecosystem operates reliably and efficiently.
As a Senior Product Manager you are responsible for crafting and implementing our product strategy in the cloud cost engineering and insights space. Work with multiple teams and build scalable solutions with the goal of increasing efficiency. You will be accountable for defining and tracking critical metrics for measuring the overall impact and success. Your work will directly influence how teams at Spotify think about cloud resource utilization, associated costs and carbon emissions, paving the path for a more efficient and sustainable future.
What You'll Do
- Own and drive the product strategy and prioritization for the cost engineering and insights domain.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and work with engineers to get it built and launched.
- Define & measure success metrics, which will serve to inform ongoing investments & product decisions.
- Develop a set of cloud cost management methodologies that Spotify teams can use at scale.
- Ensure that your team is constantly doing the right things, and has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support.
- Collaborate with key partners across the organization (platform, procurement, finance, security, governance, etc) to grow the impact to the company’s short- and long-term goals.
- Partner with other product managers across the org to provide a world-class user experience for Spotify engineers.
Who You Are
- You are a hardworking product manager; driving product strategies from inception to delivery.
- You have extensive knowledge of large and complex cloud-native infrastructures as well as modern cloud technologies and cost components.
- You have a background in creating cloud cost and resource utilization optimization strategies.
- You have experience with organizing, summarizing and presenting cost and utilization information.
- You understand the importance of the developer experience to improve impact, distribution and success for those building on top of your product.
- You enjoy being a “developer evangelist” - serving as a champion for engineers and promoting their voice in the conversation.
- As a curious go-getter you inspire change, adapt quickly and enjoy a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
