This role sits within our front end platform team called Clients Platform. It oversees two key areas: Core UX, and Design Foundations. The role’s primary focus will be Core UX, a team that owns the core features of Reddit and whose mission is to ensure these features are usable, modern, accessible and consistent across platforms, while ensuring that other product teams can engage with and build on top of these features in a rapid and seamless manner.  The role will also support our Design Foundations team which owns our design system and building out our component library - here you’ll partner with some of the best in the business to help bring Reddit’s design system to life, evangelize it, and ensure its roll out is a success org-wide. 

Within these domains, you will define and execute the team roadmaps by partnering closely with key members of the data, design, engineering and research teams as well as other product managers within your group and across the organization. In addition, you will build strong relationships across the org, influence product quality org-wide, and build features that delight our users, increase developer efficiency and improve reliability, scalability and cost-effectiveness of our front end platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in defining the top-level product vision and strategy for Core UX and Design Foundation teams 
  • Participate in quarterly planning sessions to define initiatives, resolve dependencies and perform data-driven prioritization 
  • Maintain and communicate a prioritized roadmap to support Clients Platform and company strategic initiatives
  • Work closely with data scientists, designers, developers, product managers and researchers to understand problems, capture new ideas and manage a prioritized backlog of requirements
  • Drive execution for  Core UX and Design Foundation teams including driving stakeholder alignment, feature definition, communication, quality and launch and evaluation of success criteria
  • Explain, educate and help to drive adoption of CoreEx tools with teams like product, engineering, architecture, infrastructure 
  • Communicate and evangelize the value of Clients Platform to product engineering teams and business stakeholders by defining, tracking and reporting on metrics

Qualifications

  • You are a detail-oriented team player with 5+ years of PM experience who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and pushes to deliver the best outcomes for our users and business
  • You have shipped products that have delivered meaningful business results
  • You have experience with building design systems, owning core products at scale, or front end platform teams and can communicate effectively about these topics both with technical and non-technical audiences
  • You are comfortable in SQL and know how to define and track domain goals and success metrics in alignment with Reddit's wider business objectives, even as they require coordination across product teams
  • You are a compelling influencer with great communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to align a diverse group of stakeholders towards a common goal
  • You are a detail-oriented team player with 5+ years of PM experience who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and pushes to deliver the best outcomes for our users and business
