Senior Product Manager - Core Services

About the role:

Independent retailers make our cities thrive: it’s local businesses owned by small entrepreneurs, giving jobs to the local community, sourcing high quality products for us, and making our streets full of life! Ankorstore is on a mission to help these independent retailers find the best brands and products to sell in their shops, thanks to the largest B2B catalog, the best buying conditions, and easy tools!

Without Ankorstore, retailers & brands do business with excel spreadsheets & emails. So everything can be improved with technology! As we start from a blank page, we face a wide variety of challenges, from making it easier for retailers to search for new brands, onboarding tens of thousands of brands every year, ensuring a high catalog quality, building CRM tools for our brands, scaling across all European countries, helping brands ship faster, …  To build all these, We have 20 squads, each addressing one specific problem.

The mission of the Core Services squad is to build features that are transversal across all these other squads. This includes: translations, authentication services, AB testing tools,...

As the PM for Core Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Understand transversal challenges of other squads, both by being the voice of other PMs & Engineers, and the voice of our users.
• Build the roadmap for that squad
• Work hand-in-hand with a squad of engineers to solve problems.
• Make sure what you do brings quantifiable value. You see features only as a way to move KPIs and deliver outcomes.

You need to both have a deep business acumen to understand needs, and technical knowledge to work with other squads.

Learning and experimentation are key to how we work. As we are still early in our journey there is a lot to validate to unearth the most impactful opportunities.

The experience we prefer:

• At least 3 years of experience in Product in Tech.
• Has experience with Platform or Core Services teams
• Proficient spoken/written English skills, as English is the work language
• You can demonstrate how you worked on a variety of technical challenges.
• Experience owning and driving the building and shipping of product from the ground up to scale

Other qualities that would add value:

• Experience in early startups to scale ups are preferred
• Comfortable in growing environment
• Retail experience
