Senior Product Manager - Core Banking Engine

About the opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Senior Product Manager - Core Banking Engine with a desire to develop innovative platform products, and an innate interest in financial technology to join our Core banking team. The Core banking Group is split between our Barcelona, Berlin and Vienna offices, which are the main product & tech hubs for N26 globally.

As a Product Manager in the Core Banking Group, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the core banking infrastructure of N26. This function is critical to N26’s ability to not only provide our current functionality but to also offer new financial products in a competitive and scalable manner.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for the implementation of Core banking engine as a part of overall N26 architecture
• Partner with stakeholders across N26 to define your team goals and drive it to achieve success.
• Work with other product managers, designers and engineers across the organization to improve the core banking platform offering of N26
• Play a pivotal role in the build-buy-partner strategy in selecting core banking engine and embedding it in the overall architecture
• Ensure product rollouts are delivered successfully by working cross-functionally with local market teams, marketing, operations, compliance, and engineering.

What you need to be successful:

• 5+ years experience in Product Management ideally gained in a FinTech, banking environment, core banking engine providers (or similar)
• Experience with banking architecture frameworks, core banking implementation and ledgers
• STEM, business, economics undergraduate. MBA, MS or equivalent would be a plus.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills (you are familiar with SQL)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent technical acumen, curiosity, and familiarity with new technologies, API’s, programming languages, and databases.
• Previous experience dealing with high engaged third party providers and working with third party vendors is a big plus
• Strong understanding of agile product development and delivery.
