Senior Product Manager (Cologne or Berlin)

Every week small business owners across the world interact with millions of consumers using SumUp. The Consumer tribe - a startup within SumUp - builds products that are turning transactions into easier, more engaging and more meaningful interactions while improving consumer's financial life. 

This role is a high impact, critical position that will challenge you to work at a quick pace and tackle a wide variety of topics and opportunities on a global scale. You will use your strategic thinking and original mindset, as well as immense drive, to help strategise and innovate within the team that is responsible for launching and growing new markets across the globe as part of a fast paced and rapidly scaling organisation.

What you’ll do

• Work as part of a cross-functional team to create the necessary tools and technical framework to allow SumUp to launch in new markets quickly and efficiently
• Take charge of coordinating our country launch system setup activities on a tribe and cross-tribe level
• Build an expansion platform that allows us to tackle internationalisation, customisation, and country-specific regulatory challenges
• Design and build acquiring and settlement platforms that satisfy various business requirements and user needs; drive testing, implementation, and post-production support
• Gather requirements and scope projects, facilitate discussions and drive resolution of issues

You’ll be great for this position if

• You have 6+ years in Product Management in an Agile organisation and experience working on Mobile Apps
• You have a track record of managing and growing highly effective, agile, cross-functional teams with a strong focus on delivery, including mentoring and developing high potential talent, and building a culture based on a high level of cooperation and innovation
• You have the ability to use different leadership styles situational awareness to keep the team moving forward in even the most complex situations
• You have expertise in how to achieve success and buy-in through influence and strong Stakeholder & Project Management skills
• You are a self-assured communicator, confident and impactful as a leader
• You are a feedback champion
• You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written – any other languages are a plus
