Senior Product Manager, Cloud Platform

About the Role:

We are looking for a product manager for Redpanda Cloud, our PaaS and SaaS streaming data platform. You will work closely with customers, study the market, and drive the strategic roadmap for Redpanda Cloud’s customer experience  by simplifying operations including cluster provisioning/management, user administration, analytics/telemetrymetering/billing and partner product  integrations.

This is an opportunity to work closely with product and engineering leadership and teams at a fast-growing, well-funded startup. This role requires deep comfort with enterprise cloud infrastructure technology, working closely with customers, and collaborating cross-functionally across technical and non-technical teams.

You Will: 

• Meet with customers, understand their needs, gather feedback, ensure that the overall product direction aligns with customer needs
• Define requirements for new features and prioritize them for the product roadmap
• Communicate new features internally and externally and help define value propositions, messaging, and pricing
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams (including Engineering, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing ) to ensure we ship the right features at the right time, with the right scope and user experience context
• Fully Own delivery of features end-to-end, picking up tasks wherever needed, reviewing documentation, and defining analytics required to measure success after rollout

You Have: 

• Strong empathy for customers
• 5+ years of experience in product management and engineering for enterprise software platforms in the Cloud (provisioning, networking, pricing) for PaaS, or SaaS platforms
• Have strong hand on experience with AWS,GCP or Azure
• Experience working closely with highly technical products and customers
• Delivered products  working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
• Have strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyze product usage)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to to concisely explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences (and vice-versa)

Please highlight if applicable to you: 

• Shipped enterprise-grade feature sets for infrastructure products and services (especially distributed systems)
• Understand Kafka or equivalent technology
• Worked with public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native infrastructure, including any of the following:
• Deep knowledge of cloud provider infrastructure, architectures and deployment models  
• Provisioning and managing cloud based resources (compute, storage, networking) and/or Kubernetes orchestration
• Building features that integrate or leverage cloud ecosystem integrations (e.g. monitoring, logging, telemetry, metering, billing, etc.)

U.S. base salary range for this role is $151,000 - $174,000 (CO, TX) and $178,000 - $205,000 (CA, NY). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
