We’re looking for an experienced product manager to lead our cloud compute initiatives in Spotify’s Compute and Networking product area - a part of Spotify’s Core Infrastructure team dedicated to making sure Spotify's can operate reliably at scale.
The cloud compute mission is redefining how we scale our cloud-native apps. Our hypothesis is that by offering the right combination of compute platforms to our engineers we will be able to decrease the time it takes to deliver innovative new products whilst continuing to operate at high scale and high availability. To do this, we need to redefine how we make stateful, stateless, and function based compute infrastructure available to our users.
As a Senior Product Manager you are responsible for crafting and implementing our product strategy in the cloud compute space. You will work with multiple teams and be accountable for defining and tracking critical metrics for measuring the overall impact and success.
What You'll Do
- Drive a vision and strategy for compute platforms that meet the needs of Spotify engineering teams and operate at scale.
- Deeply understand the compute user needs of Spotify’s many engineering teams, and how those needs impact the Spotify business.
- Stay on top of technology developments (think Open Source, CNCF, and other industry leaders) and evolve the cloud compute platforms accordingly.
- Define & measure success metrics, which will serve to inform ongoing investments & product decisions.
- Ensure that your team is doing the highest impact things, and has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support.
- Collaborate with key partners across the organization (platform, security, architecture, procurement, finance, etc) to grow the impact to the company’s short- and long-term goals.
- Partner with other product managers across the org to provide a world-class user experience for Spotify engineers.
Who you are
- You have experience driving product strategies from inception to delivery.
- You have extensive knowledge of large and complex cloud-native infrastructures as well as modern cloud technologies.
- You are passionate about building outstanding experiences and understand what a phenomenal platform that meets these needs looks like.
- You enjoy being a “developer evangelist” — serving as a champion for engineers and promoting their voice in the conversation.
- As a curious go-getter you inspire change, adapt quickly and enjoy a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
Where You'll Be
- We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.
- Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.
- Prefer an office to work from home instead? Not a problem! We have plenty of options for your working preferences. Find more information about our Work From Anywhere options here.
