Calling all frequent travelers - KAYAK is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Cars team! This is an opportunity for you to have a major impact on the way people find and book travel on KAYAK. Reporting to the Director of Product, you will be responsible for advocating for traveler needs and crafting a roadmap that delivers thoughtful and tailored experiences that people love. You understand consumer behavior, are numbers proficient, and enjoy working with people organization-wide to prioritize opportunities and users problems.

This role is required to work from our Berlin, Germany office at least 3 days per week.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the Cars product experience and user journey. Make it yours. Define and communicate priorities for our Cars vertical to support KAYAK’s product vision and address known gaps in functionality and content offerings
  • Act as the voice of the customer whilst making the best decisions for the business.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and stay informed about both travel and e-commerce spaces.
  • Utilise AI tools as part of your day-to-day work to increase your productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage a product roadmap committed to achieving goals, driving impact, and improving customer experience.
  • Identify and prioritize user and business problems through data (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Craft requirements that facilitate meaningful product improvements, weighing impact against business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Translate validated problems into clear, actionable solutions and requirements in collaboration with your team members (Design and Engineering).
  • Support the team during the sprint execution with decisions and clarifications.
  • Measure and analyze insights from product changes, chasing impact against goals, and the opportunities our data, user research, and A/B experiment results might reveal.
  • Drive continuous improvement through learning loops: experiment results, iteration, and insights synthesis.
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with team members and collaborators to enable effective collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Encourage and empower the Cars team, fostering a strong sense of unity and team spirit.

Please apply if you have:

  • 7 to 10+ years of proven experience in product management, with a preference for candidates with experience in Scrum Agile methodologies and the Cars and/or Travel industry.
  • You represent our values: be bold, own it, and win as one.
  • Demonstrated consumer approach with preference for e-commerce and B2C background
  • Proven track record to articulate a product strategy and translate it into product requirements.
  • Strong ownership of problems and a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to rely on data for decision-making, complemented by strong intuition.
  • Good business judgment, BS/BA required, technical background strongly preferred, MBA or similar experience a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills at all levels of an organization
  • High attention to detail and a love of numbers are a requirement
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across different cultures and time zones
  • A regular traveler and empathetic to the challenges our users encounter
