Etsy seeks a Product Manager for our Carriers Product and Shipping Teams!We are responsible for the integration of global shipping carriers into the platform to allow sellers to purchase postage directly from Etsy. To facilitate these integrations, this team work covers the full shipping experience including areas like backend integration with provider APIs, label purchasing, shipment tracking, postage cost calculations, and carrier maintenance (ex: updating rates and charges), just to name a few.
This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Director of Product as part of the Fulfillment Group whose mission is to make fulfillment fulfilling.
With over 100 million items offered by 5.2 million sellers, we bring value to our buyers, sellers, and Etsy by balancing e-commerce standard methodologies with the exciting challenges posed by operating at scale.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Product. This person will be located in Brooklyn or San Francisco. We are also considering remote candidates based in the US for this position. Etsy offers three different work modes to meet the variety of needs and preferences of our team: Flex mode for candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location at least 4-6 days per month, Remote mode, and Office-based mode. About this role:
- Collaborate with Fulfillment Engineering and Shipping Operations team to increase coverage of postage options for our sellers in buyers, in other words, give the customers (sellers and buyers) multiple options of varying shipping costs, speed, and features to fit their needs
- Ensure day-to-day label purchase systems are functioning correctly
- Define the product strategy and roadmap of our product capabilities for shipping integrationsinternationally, with a keen focus on new global markets
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop and deliver products that are scalable and reliable. Lead agile ceremonies, including planning and grooming.
- Own and define/refine the metrics of your team’s products, including impact to our business and our customer
- Work closely and collaboratively with leaders across our other functions (including engineering, marketing, insights/analytics, and design) to realize the full scale and potential of the shipping platform
Qualifications
About You:
- 4+ years combined product management and shipping integrations and/or similar domain
- Previous experience working with Designers, Research, and Analytics to further define our sellers needs, and continue to identify improvement opportunities
- 2-Sided Marketplace experience a big plus
- Successful track record solving complex consumer-facing and logistics problems, developing strategies and roadmaps, and executing those plans to bring value for our business and customers
- Experienced with using qualitative and quantitative data (especially from synthesizing data into clear needs and hypotheses) to make product decisions
- You know when and how to balance data with intuition
- Inspiring, engaging and clear communication style; optimistic and forward-looking
- Comfortable with multitasking and can prioritize projects happening in parallel
