Role overview

CarGurus is looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager who will oversee our Product Data Platform, focusing on providing a high quality, easy to use suite of services for our Marketplace, Digital Retail, and Wholesale engineering teams to build on and innovating new data services with CarGurus’ expansive market and shopping data. The Product “Guru” will work closely with other Product Managers and Engineering leads to identify the highest potential improvements to the platform as well as major new services worth developing and then collaborate with Engineering to bring those ideas to fruition. The role is highly cross-functional and requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge, the ability to work well with a wide range of types of people, and a passion for innovation.

What you'll do

  • Drive the ideation, prioritization, planning, development, and launch of capabilities and features in support of our marketplace, digital retail, and wholesale product growth goals
  • Gain a deep understanding of our existing product infrastructure, in order to identify issues and areas for improvement
  • Evaluate competitor offerings and capabilities to ensure CarGurus brings the best products to market
  • Analyze data on platform usage and performance to optimize and improve our capabilities
  • Collaborate with best-in-class teams across CarGurus such as Engineering, Marketing, Design, Sales, Analytics, and others to roll out new products and initiatives

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to drive projects of varying size and scope simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively liaise with a variety of internal teams
  • Bachelor’s degree
