We’re an international AgTech startup pioneering an ambitious mission in a budding industry where agriculture meets technology. Through the use of data-driven insights, natural microbiology, and innovative digital technologies, Indigo is partnering across the supply chain, ultimately cultivating a scalable climate solution and enhanced ecosystem that beneficially serves farmers, consumers, and the planet alike.

Our mission is unique, and therefore our teams are too. From multigenerational farming experts who understand the land as though it were an extension of themselves, to cutting-edge technologists and scientists on the frontier of innovation, our teams are a reflection of the range of the stakeholders we serve: the Earth, the Farmer, and the Consumer. We are building Indigo on a bedrock of diversity.  We celebrate individuality and believe in bringing our genuine self to work every day. We deeply value collaboration informed by kindness and personal accountability.

Indigo is a high growth innovative agriculture company based in Boston.  We have an extraordinary opportunity to help farmers harness nature to feed the planet in a sustainable manner. The Carbon business at Indigo is at the forefront of the agricultural carbon market and building the first scalable, rigorous carbon credit opportunity for farmers — benefiting both our planet and the rural communities that feed us.

How do we work?

We are not perfect. In fact, we are learning from trial and error every day.  We try new things, take risks, make educated guesses, and move quickly. We learn from our users directly and make data-driven decisions. We believe in the tenets of agile development, but we aren’t dogmatic about it.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.

  • Prioritize internal tools, features, dashboards, and automations that support multiple offers on a single shared platform.
  • Establish frameworks and policies to structure business foundations team activities, and drive towards repeatable workflows and processes.
  • Collaborate with UX design and engineering to define efficient & scalable processes, and leverage the right technology for the problem at hand.
  • Drive agile software product management and development best practices.
  • Energize your teams and be a champion for progress.
  • Prioritize grower interest and success.
  • Define a set of trackable OKRs/KPIs that allow you to measure success and drive accountability.
  • Establish clear and concise communications channels with stakeholders within the organization (i.e., Offering, Sales, Operations, Contract Management, Data Science, Design, and Engineering) to provide context about the “why” behind product decisions and process.
  • Balance business needs and customer value; use qualitative and quantitative data to drive prioritization.
  • Understand and embody Indigo’s mission & core values:
    • Excited by Indigo’s mission; believes that Indigo can fundamentally change the agriculture industry
    • Optimistic and solution-oriented; shows no signs of cynicism
    • Will be widely viewed as someone who personifies our core values, is committed to them, and leans on them when making decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years Product Management experience operating in an agile/lean development environment
    • Experience building contracting, payment processing or financial software is preferred.
