Job Description

Are you excited to build the next generation of payment products and services? Do you want to convert your ideas into innovative solutions? Do you want to be a part of building and delivering solutions at global scale, applying local needs that delight our users?

Visa is looking for an accomplished Senior Product Manager to manage client engagements with Issuers/Financial Institutions, develop products for this segment, and accelerate adoption of our services across multiple markets.

Given we are a relatively new product and have a ‘start-up’ mentality - you will own a wide breadth of responsibilities which include B2B product marketing, joint solutioning with clients, developing new features, setting product prioritizations, and guiding client launches.  It is a cross-functional job, collaborating closely with Regional teams, Technology, Marketing, Legal and Client Services. Overall, you will determine and build the right solutions that scale, solve for critical client needs, and manage large-scale launches.

You should be a self-starter that can balance strategy with day-to-day running the business aspects, highly organized, and able to seamlessly prioritize a dynamic workload.

Responsibilities

Product solutioning

  • Take client requirements or friction points and solution against them—come up with enhancements that can be built effectively and efficiently to address pain points.  Define solutions with executable business requirements and user stories, working with Product/Technology partners per release cycle.
  • Own larger features or services—includes framing how it ladders up to broader Installments strategy, researching feasibility (e.g. legal/risk watch-outs), assessing GTM implications and product dependencies, and determining core technical requirements.
  • Make strong business cases for features/enhancements, and be comfortable debating the rationale—not only for the Installments team’s internal roadmap, but other Visa product roadmaps or client roadmaps.

Client enablement

  • Interact directly with clients and executive leadership to evangelize product solutions.  Enable sales with compelling presentations that illustrate product benefits, business impact, and customer value. Work with Marketing team for content creation.
  • Drive GTM strategy in partnership with Regional teams e.g. identifying prospects, managing  the overall pipeline, and planning for product launches per country.
  • Support client engagements and solutioning workshops.  Entails technical deep-dives, advising clients on how they can optimally design their program, and fielding product questions.
  • Oversee product execution all the way through to implementation and end-consumer adoption/usage.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 6-7 years of work experience or 3-5 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Background in payments or financial services
• Experience in product marketing and launching new products a plus. Or experience in product management with scaling a product.
• Consulting or strategy experience that involved external engagements. High comfort level and poise in client meetings
• Proven leadership capabilities including effective decision-making, sharing well-articulated views, and driving tangible results. Track record of developing and executing a vision for successful products based on deep understanding of customer needs
• Analytical background and ability to frame complex or abstract concepts in a clear, cohesive framework
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on client success. Comfortable making decisions with limited data, structuring abstract problem statements and defining solution path for execution
• Excellent communication skills—ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Project management instincts—role requires multiple workstreams and a bias toward action
