Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager, AI Innovation to join our Product team.

About the role
Oscar Product is a growing, fast-paced team using technology and design to revolutionize healthcare. As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping Oscar solve problems with smart technology solutions and accelerating execution. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of high impact problems to support Oscar’s business goals, partner with senior stakeholders across the business, and independently define the strategy for your product domain area and lead cross-functional projects within tech.
This role is focused on AI research and development. You’ll work closely with a small team of engineers and data scientists to explore and prototype new concepts and workflows across Oscar.
You will report to a Senior Product Manager.
This is a hybrid role. You will work part of the time in the New York City office and part of the time work-from-home/remote. #LI-Hybrid
The base pay for this is: $156,000 - $204,750 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for tech components, workflows, and insights that make it easy for teams across Oscar to leverage AI.
- Manage and develop API layers and integrations with different AI models.
- Test and experiment with latest technologies and models, including fine-tuning open source models and new commercial LLMs.
- Serve as a sounding board for teams seeking to use machine learning in their roadmaps and help identify opportunities for how to leverage AI/ML capabilities.
- Maintain and own relationships with key AI vendors (where applicable).
Qualifications
- You are experienced. You have worked directly with engineers in product management roles for 4+ years.
- You’ve demonstrated your ability to pick up technical concepts; while SQL is not a requirement for the role coming in, you will need to learn and use SQL regularly in this role.
Bonus Points
- Experience developing AI or ML-related features strongly preferred.
- Experience managing highly strategic relationships with third party vendors.
- Experience doing research and development-related activities.
- SQL skills strongly preferred.

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, paid parental leave, 401(k) plan participation, life and disability insurance, and paid wellness time and reimbursements.
