The Role

Our Financial Platform product group is growing rapidly to support Pilot’s mission of building the future financial back-office for small businesses and startups. To support this growth, we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our Accounting Engine team.
The Accounting Engine team’s mission is to build the underlying technology that will allow Pilot to automate bookkeeping and accounting for — in the future — millions of businesses. This team owns some of the most foundational aspects of Pilot’s software, and sits at the very core of our product.
This is a unique role with significant growth potential. We’re looking for an experienced PM who will bring who can lead and grow this team to meet the considerable and exciting challenges ahead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become the acknowledged company expert on the full panoply of our customers’ accounting needs
  • Work closely with the Accounting Engine team and cross-functional stakeholders to define the vision, a cohesive strategy, and roadmap for the Accounting Engine team to deliver on those needs
  • Combine a mastery of data with deep human insights to frame and prioritize the problems the the team needs to solve to create that future
  • Work collaboratively to translate ambiguous or complex ideas into clear product specs and executable engineering projects
  • Own and drive the product lifecycle from beginning to end
  • Help evolve and advance the PM discipline at Pilot

About You

  • At least four years of PM experience at a high-growth software company,
  • A strong track record of delivering significant, measurable impact as a PM
  • A deep understanding of fundamental accounting concepts
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and technical communication skills
