What does that look like day to day?

This role is a key player in the direction of our sales tax product in the US. It’s a fast paced and dynamic role with a high performing team. The focus for the next 6 months is finding product market fit in one of our most complex tax jurisdictions, the USA. If you have a systems mindset and enjoy deeply understanding the complex in order to make it simple, this role is for you. It’s a very customer focused role with lots of user research and opportunity to identify and scope new work. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in discovery and strategy work, helping to drive the direction of the product in partnership with Product peers.

What we need from you:

You’re an experienced designer, accustomed to user-centric design methods and best practices
Ideally product (Software as a service) design experience but we’ll still consider you if you have really strong design experience elsewhere.
Strong problem definition and articulation – challenging assumptions and 'pre-set' thinking around solutions, agreeing the purpose, principles and vision
You're a natural when it comes to collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure proposed solutions balance user needs, business strategy and technical constraints
Proven experience in creating effective handover materials which clearly communicate how the design should look and behave throughout interaction flows and journeys (e.g. User flow diagrams, design specifications, experience/interaction specifications etc)
