Senior Product Designer, Verse

Verse is a financial brand within the ecosystem of Square, located in Barcelona. Our goal is to take the friction out of spending and sharing money through peer-to-peer transactions. Our digital wallet allows you to share payments instantly, safely, and free of charge in select European countries.

As a Product Designer at Verse, you will drive design execution for the entire application. 

We’re looking for someone who is motivated by system oriented design and beautiful visual output. On this team, your work will reach nearly 2 million users and will affect the way our customers transfer money and use digital financial services. You’ll be directly responsible for decisions that influence the product and road map.This will be a cross-functional role where you will work with other designers, product editors, analysts and engineers.

• A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging experiences

• Outstanding UX ability, visual design and product thinking for user-centered design principles for iOS and Android apps 

• Experience in unifying and maintaining a UI and UX design across multiple teams withdiffering goals and priorities—including developing, maintaining, documenting, and gaining adoption of pattern libraries

• Experience applying research, usability tests, and metrics to inform design decisions

• Comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting onfeedback

• Ability to advocate for UI consistency to various stakeholders including designers, engineers, product managers, and executives through writing, visuals, and presentations

• Competence in relevant design and prototyping tools

• Strong collaboration and self-management skills
   

Even better:

• Experience leading other designers, providing feedback and directing work

• Previous work experience in a consumer-focused tech organization

• Familiarity with creating interactive prototypes

• Fluent in Figma 

• Prototyping ability
