About the team:
The Data Experience team provides powerful and personalized enterprise software for internal teams doing data discovery, creation, and visualization. Our product packages Netflix’s data services into a cohesive experience for users and strives to enable data-driven decision making in all aspects of our business. We focus on user-centered product delivery and prioritize features that enhance the productivity of our colleagues; indexing on connectivity, trust, innovation, and reliability. What you will do:
- Solve big and complex problems while unearthing things that others might miss
- Exhibit exceptional communication & presentation skills
- Multitask and independently manage your own priorities to work fast and deliver
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and diagnose symptoms
- Demonstrate tremendous visual and UX architectural design skills
- Synthesize complicated workflows and make them manageable.
- Become best friends with engineers (or at least love working with them)
- Understand technology constraints and propose realistic, attainable solutions
- Be humble, seek to understand different perspectives, and aren’t afraid to fail
Must Haves:
- A portfolio demonstrating measurably effective designs and problem solving
- Ability to create detailed wireframes and design specs of intricate user flows
- Expert skills in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Invision)
- Experience working closely with engineers to deliver browser based software products
- Experience working on consumer and enterprise products over multiple release cycles
- Experience leading, facilitating, and synthesizing user research
- Experience presenting product and feature launches to audiences large and small
Nice to Haves
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Prior experience designing or working with data and data visualization tools
