Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer for SumUp's global user activation and onboarding experience, you will have the exciting responsibility of creating a truly delightful experience for users across all SumUp products on mobile and desktop. You will be the driving force behind welcoming most users to our ecosystem and ensuring their accounts are active and ready to go, with a personalized touch that will make them feel welcome and well-guided. You will navigate all the legal and business requirements per market, ensuring compliance and a consistent user experience that will help millions of small business owners save time, reduce costs, and grow their businesses, making a real impact in the world.

In this role, you will

• Drive the vision and craft activation and onboarding experiences that are intuitive, easy to navigate, and enjoyable for new SumUp users on mobile and web, globally
• Moderate stakeholder workshops to ensure compliant and consistent user experiences by navigating legal and business requirements per country
• Translate legal and business requirements into tangible proposals that can be quickly discussed and iterated based on feedback
• Execute full flows and micro-interactions that make the SumUp product stand out, ensuring that users have a memorable and engaging experience
• You will analyze user behavior and feedback using A/B testing, and experimentation, and quickly iterate in a fast-paced environment to refine the design and ensure the onboarding experience is as delightful as possible.
• Evangelise, maintain and extend the activation and onboarding patterns to ensure cohesive storytelling throughout the SumUp mobile and web experience
• Develop close relationships with multiple teams, including development, business, legal, and country teams, both locally and globally, and be willing to travel when necessary to gain a quick understanding and make necessary adjustments if needed.

Your Profile

• You have 5+ years of experience as a best-of-class UX/UI Designer, with deep expertise in both UX and UI design across Android, IOS, and Web as demonstrated through a portfolio or case studies
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities and needs
• You are a strong collaborator and stakeholder manager to negotiate scalable, usable solutions, finding the right balance between legal, user and business needs
• You are skilled in driving workshops to facilitate communication and understanding between teams.
• You are proficient in storytelling, using narrative techniques to create compelling user experiences that engage and delight users.
• You communicate decisions and direction effectively to different stakeholders 
• BA or MA in Design or related fields, or complementary studies and deep work experience in product design
