We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to help guide the design direction and user experience of squarespace.com (aka Squarespace’s ‘Frontsite’) and our central offering, templates.You will have a strong background in visual, web, and interaction design. You are comfortable working with product managers, engineers, user research, content strategy, and product marketing.

This is an onsite role that reports into our Design Manager on the Growth team in our New York headquarters.

You'll Get To…

  • Design experiences for squarespace.com that are usable, beautiful, and marketable
  • Responsible for improving the current experience of squarespace.com, while also developing new concepts to push the experience forward. This includes delivering high quality templates that merchandise the wide range of features and capabilities of our platform, as well as designing mobile-optimized surfaces that prioritize user conversion across a variety of business lines.
  • Utilize and improve upon existing design paradigms, while simultaneously pushing to evolve our design language and systems
  • Develop information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes

Who We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience 
  • Affinity for consistency, color, typography, photography, and animation
  • You can consider a wide range of user needs and goals to create an experience that aids the user’s comprehension of the entire Squarespace ecosystem, and empowers them to make inspired decisions.
  • Understanding of UX methodologies including research, prototyping, testing, and iterating
  • You are experiment-minded and quick to explore and test new ideas.
