We are looking for a Senior Product Designer, to shape the vision of the Unfold App, which is part of our suite of Squarespace products. You will be challenged in an organization that values vision, execution, and creativity. You will take ownership of the Unfold product by solving complex problems around the creation and management of social media content in simple, elegant ways with an understanding of our users' workflows. This includes creating, editing, styling, planning, and publishing social media content. You'll improve the current experience and work on new features to redefine the future of the product on mobile.

This is a hybrid role that reports into the Senior Product Design Manager, from our office in Dublin, Ireland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Improve upon existing design paradigms, while simultaneously pushing to evolve our design language and systems
  • Continually seek to understand the capabilities and technical constraints of the systems with which you'll be working
  • Help drive strategy, including competitive research and pushing to leverage potential opportunities
  • Participate in user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of social media industry trends in order to help drive the Unfold brand and product forward
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams from concept through delivery and beyond and maintain clear team understanding around goals and priorities
  • Contribute to OKRs, and product experience strategy by working with partners, working with CustOps, and users and looking at data in equal measure, to help define key metrics to track success and business impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing and Brand, UXR, and UXCS to develop and deliver product consistency that is on-brand, such as information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes that tell a cohesive story of opportunities for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Relevant experience with sketching, wireframes, visual design, design systems, and prototyping for product experiences with a mobile-first mindset
  • Demonstrate clear design development, application of service design and information architecture, and experience facilitating a variety of UX methodologies including research, prototype testing, and iteration.
  • Demonstrate excellent story-telling in your portfolio presentation with the ability to tailor your context to different audiences by showing breadth and depth of thought.
  • POV and passion for products you design and the impact they have in the world
  • Well-versed in, and opinionated about visual and user experience design
  • Well-rounded understanding of information architecture
  • Love of iterative development
  • A solid understanding of how web and mobile applications work
