Senior Product Designer, Seller Platform

What’s the role?

Etsy is home to a wide variety of markets across the globe, with a core focus on the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, and Australia.

We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer who is excited about developing the best tools and resources for international Etsy sellers to grow their businesses. You’ll join a squad passionate about helping grow and retain sellers in a number of regions in order to meet local buyer demand. Underpinning this work is a dedication to personalizing experiences and recognizing the multifaceted needs, environment, and business goals of our sellers.

The product designer in this role will define and craft solutions that are intuitive, contextually relevant, and strive to minimize friction. In short, this work will help sellers sell simply! Product Designers contribute across teams, iterating on and delivering design solutions that address core seller needs. We are seeking a committed designer, someone who has experience applying research findings to inform their design decisions and who can rethink how both Etsy and our sellers continue to thrive across our domestically vibrant marketplaces.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Product Design Manager. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Mexico City office in an in-person or flex capacity. Learn more about our Flex and Office-based work modes as well as vaccination policy here.

What’s this team like at Etsy?
Join a team focused on enhancing and customizing the seller experience for growing international markets. Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners in product management, engineering, research, and analytics. You’ll be setting the design vision, managing priorities and continuously iterating and experimenting to bring new value to our sellers. 

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Discovering insights, opportunities, and requirements
• Testing prototypes and hypotheses with users to collect feedback
• Launching experiments and evaluating how they perform and how to iterate
• Sharing your work to peers and leadership, async and in-person
• Taking part in weekly design critiques, workshops, all hands and squad meetings
• Thinking and writing about your process and detailing your decisions

Mid level at Etsy means:

• You sketch, prototype, and create high fidelity artifacts for the team, using your judgement to determine the best formats and fidelities for your work
