Senior Product Designer

Our first product eliminates the need for a cash security deposit and puts money back in renters’ pockets with a technology-driven insurance product. In addition to our security deposit insurance, we also offer renters insurance. Our newest offering, Rhino+, is a cash deposit collection and compliance solution for landlords and property managers.

At Rhino, we believe that product design has a critical role in accelerating and amplifying product strategy. As a Senior Product Designer at Rhino, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Product and be responsible for creating best-in-class experiences across our product ecosystem.

In this role you will: 

• Work closely with product management, engineering, and analytics peers to design the “how” for solving customer problems
• Design and ship high quality product features and enhancements
• Contribute to refining our design processes to ensure optimal collaboration across product development and stakeholder teams
• Create user flows, wires, or prototypes to communicate and validate ideas
• Be a champion for creating top-notch customer experiences for all our Rhino users

We're ideally seeking:

• 4-5+ years of experience as a product designer
• Someone who is ego-free and willing to both challenge ideas and be challenged on their ideas
• Can independently execute while also building tight collaborative relationships with their peers
• Someone who can create elegant solutions for the customer based on user research, usability testing, and data, rather than eye-catching visuals based on gut feelings and trends
• Has experience prototyping and designing in Figma

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $132,000 - $155,000

Rhino has partnered with a number of compensation benchmarking tools to determine competitive and fair market pay bands for our size and stage. Our goal is to ensure each employee is paid equitably and competitively while also maintaining a consistent and standardized methodology.

Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors including qualifications for the role, experience level and balancing internal equity relative to other Rhinos.
