Senior Product Designer

Jasper Health is an early stage, fast-paced company with a noble mission to provide a digital experience to improve the lives of cancer patients and their caregivers throughout their treatment and remission journeys. The company announced its official launch and was covered by high impact media outlets including USA Today, HIT Consultant, and MarketWatch. A few months later, Jasper announced its first large-scale client with Employer Direct Healthcare which covers over 2MM lives across hundreds of employers. Jasper Health is funded and supported by Redesign Health, with a recent round of funding led by 7wire Ventures, known for such digital health stand outs as Livongo, which merged in an $18.5 billion transaction with Teladoc late last year.

Jasper’s design team is focused on building world-class solutions to help people living with cancer navigate their end-to-end care experience. Our human-centered approach is guided by empathy and data, and we’re passionate about working iteratively to create meaningful and valuable products for the 100M+ cancer patients who need them most. 

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll lead initiatives of all scales, manage the strategic design of our products, and execute both in vision, pixels, and language. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with the design team, a range of internal groups, and our external partners to drive the development of new features and other design projects.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end design process to produce solutions that positively impact the experience of cancer patients, while balancing our clinical and business needs.

• Work on a wide range of projects, from conceptually broad explorations to well-defined sprints timed to launch cycles

• Lead the design of new experiences and product features, working iteratively from high-level concept to pixel-perfect execution

• Guide product development and engineering through the use of concept sketches, user flows, mock-ups, and high-fidelity prototypes

• Partner and collaborate with other disciplines within the company, such as product management, engineering, and product marketing.  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• A strong visual sense, attention to detail, and love for the craft of design
• Passionate about solving problems for patients while balancing all aspects of the user experience—from research and strategy to copywriting and interactions
• Proficiency with design, collaboration, and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Github
• Strong communication skills, with the ability write UX copy that complements the UI
• Experience building and maintaining design systems
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, React, Material Design/MUI and/or Flutter are a huge plus

Preferred Experience

• 4+ years of industry experience as a Product Design or equivalent role(s)
• Proven experience designing across responsive web and native applications
• Experience collaborating closely with other disciplines including product and engineering
• Experience working in the healthcare industry, a startup environment, and/or on a consumer product are a huge plus

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is $120K - $150K

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
