ABOUT THE ROLE 

Interstellar Lab is looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our rapidly growing team. As a product designer, you will have the unique opportunity to make an impact on the development of our low Earth orbit and lunar products.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, self-starter who enjoys partnering with engineering, product, research, data, and marketing, and keeps the user at the center of their decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable.
• Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant.
• Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the design team.
• Give and solicit feedback from other designers, engineers, and team members in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
• Propose, execute and synthesize user research studies in order to identify and solve product problems.
• Keep project timelines on track and communicate progress.
• Strong verbal and visual communication.
• Capable of clearly articulating design decisions to a variety of partners.
• The ability to work on multiple projects at a high caliber.
• Demonstrates an ability to design and build products for mobile and desktop experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years working as a professional designer with a stunning portfolio demonstrating powerful design thinking in both interaction and visual execution.
• Keen understanding of usability, ergonomics and user-centered principles put into practice
• Ability to balance multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills & collaborative skills across cultures
• Curious, hardworking, and passionate about new challenges

• 3D Experience / CATIA (+++)
• Rhinoceros 3D + Grasshopper (+++)
• Programming with common programming languages such as C# and Python (optional)
• CG Rendering
