About the Role:
Your role will be to lead the design of our internal tooling, improving the efficiency of our team and support for our customers. This is an opportunity to work on the systems which the company operates on.
You will collaborate with your product and engineering team to identify the biggest efficiency time-sinks and design solutions to make it quick and easy for our administrative teams to serve our customers. You will be reporting into our Product Design Lead.
You will:
- Lead the design for an internal-tool focused product area and occasionally work on surface areas of the product suite which are consumer-facing
- Identify areas of opportunity to improve efficiency of service
- Guide the vision of the product and achieve it through research synthesis and design explorations
- Work with XFN partners closely and solicit feedback to ensure project outcomes are being me
- Know when to bypass minor UX testing and lean on your expertise, but also when to propose initiatives to fill in the gaps
- Use existing design systems and standards and work to improve these systems and standards
- Take on complex projects which overlap with several product areas and seek the information required to fill in any missing gaps
Other characteristics of the ideal candidate:
- Has a high bar for craft and a strong desire to deliver a consumer-level experience to internal customers
- Excited by system-level product or service design work; you don’t mind working on products where customers will not see your work directly
- Someone who has at least 5+ years of relevant design experience
- Comfortable being a sole contributor to high impact projects

AngelList has offices in three hub cities: San Francisco, Seattle, and New York City that you can choose to work from. We’re focused on hiring within these hubs and people within 1 hour travel distance of the hub offices are expected to come into the office twice per week. From time to time, we will make rare exceptions for new hires if they need to be fully remote.
