Senior Product Designer, Growth (Remote)

We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to become a pivotal part of our Growth team focused on product-led growth and self-serve initiatives. This team is the welcoming committee, wholeheartedly invested in facilitating a seamless and effective initiation for all our new users into the Fleetio family. Our goal is to ensure that our new users are well-acquainted with our platform and primed for success through productized and personalized onboarding experiences. You should be thrilled at the prospect of constructing growth loops, delving into rich data for insight, formulating hypotheses, and conducting ongoing experiments to align users with our platform's inherent value.

Our ideal candidate is a creative powerhouse, energized by the mission to make each user's first encounter with Fleetio an impactful, memorable, and rewarding experience. You will rely on user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals from concept to execution and craft new solutions for complex problems. You will collaborate with other product designers, engineers, and product managers to continually refine and iterate the Fleetio design language system.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, product marketing, and customer success to ensure a cohesive and impactful user onboarding journey
• Use data-driven insights to understand user behavior, devise effective growth strategies, and optimize onboarding funnels
• Continuously generate and test hypotheses to iterate and improve the onboarding experience
• Design and help implement features that frequently ship while maintaining high quality
• Create detailed mocks/specs of designs that allow engineers to build new features
• Raise the bar for product quality across our products by advocating for user-centered product roadmaps, new interface guidelines and design patterns, investments in refinement, polish and iteration, and insights driven by user research and customer feedback
• Develop deep empathy for our customers and use research to inform design solutions
• Compellingly communicate your design solutions and decisions to stakeholders (i.e. internal stakeholders, designers, engineers, and PMs) while being open to constructive feedback
• Work closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation and user experience

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise with 5+ years of professional work experience within a SaaS environment focusing on product design and/or user interface design in web
• BA/BS degree in Design is highly preferred
• Exceptional command and leadership in visual design and information architecture, coupled with a keen sense of simplicity, deep understanding of modern web UI patterns, and an extraordinary eye for typography, consistency, color, and subtle details
• Advanced understanding of user-centered design thinking and the ability to integrate products/services across a platform, thinking beyond individual screens and considering the broader context of design systems
• Proficiency in effectively communicating design concepts at various levels of resolution, including sketches, low-fi mockups, hi-fi comps, and interactive prototypes, highlighting strong visual communication skills
• Extensive experience in collaborating cross-functionally with research, design, product, engineering, data science, and marketing teams to develop successful strategies and make informed decisions
• Proven track record of bringing projects from concept to completion, showcasing the ability to design and ship software products successfully
• Expert-level proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and Sketch, enabling the creation of wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach mid-level designers, illustrating leadership and expertise in guiding and developing the skills of others
