About the role

We are hiring for a Senior Designer on our Growth Product Design team.  As a designer focusing on the critical first moments in our members’ journey, your ability to craft great experiences will help millions of Americans achieve financial peace of mind.

You’ll be working as an individual contributor, owning critical design projects end-to-end while mentoring other designers on the team. Your work will make the process of getting set up with a new bank simple and clear for our members.

In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $159,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Put our members first in all decisions. Don’t lessen their problems, eliminate them
  • Act as a champion for high caliber design and experiences throughout Chime
  • Work on products not as a singular feature, but as a scalable experience
  • Balance member needs, design goals, and business requirements 
  • Produce sketches, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity visual designs, and animated prototypes (as needed) to bring a design solution to life
  • Present work to, collaborate with, and influence product managers, engineers, research, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to our design standards and push them forward

To thrive in this role you have

  • Have 5 years of experience in product design, HCI, graphic design or related fields
  • Can show a proven track record of design solutions that achieve successful outcomes in consumer mobile and/or web products
  • Can demonstrate a deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative testing methodology
  • Bring curiosity and compassion to your work and those you work with
  • Have owned and created product strategies, managing the process from start to finish 
  • Are energized by mentoring and giving feedback to help designers grow
  • Work inclusively across teams to drive user-centric solutions
