ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Product Designer at Ada you will work in a cross-functional delivery team of between 4-7 members (product manager, engineers and designers). You’ll be responsible for crafting well-designed experiences from real user insights, supporting enterprise client objectives in line with Ada’s vision, on one of our core products called Connect. Connect navigates users towards the best possible healthcare recommendations, that are configurable, scalable and are simple to integrate for partners.

You will report directly to the Director of Product Design & UXR, and will be part of the Product Design Team. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Own the design of the Connect product, creating end-to-end user experiences from initial concept through to release and beyond
• Work with the Connect team and business stakeholders in enterprise to define solutions that strategically align with user needs and business goals
• Represent design for the Connect team in client discussions and integrations.
• Contribute to strategic decisions with product and design leadership to produce impactful solutions for our users
• Craft flows, prototypes, and experiences that clearly solve user needs, knowing when to lean on established design practices and when to break them
• Facilitate design-thinking workshops and human-centered design activities with peers, stakeholders, and partners
• Partner with our UX research team to plan and conduct exploratory research and formative evaluations 
• Partner closely with engineers to understand technology capabilities and translate designs into released product
• Give and seek feedback, regularly presenting work and evangelising good design standards within the product design team
• Challenge the design team on how we work, helping to adopt new practices, tools, and develop the design culture at Ada
• Advocate for the best possible experience for end-users, raising the standard with principles such as privacy at the heart of our decision making

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• You have at least 5+ years of experience as a Senior Product Designer within a fast-paced scale-up company
• Demonstrable professional product design experience delivering the end-to-end user experience for mobile apps, websites, and services
• Flexibility to work in ambiguous situations, creating clarity without direction and defining software products from the ground up
• An eye for detail, creative and innovative problem solving, and fluency in design systems
• Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, and interactive prototypes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present work to large groups and stakeholders
• Enthusiasm to mentor fellow designers and to openly share knowledge
• Portfolio showing high-quality, thoughtful UX and UI work
• Passion for Health-tech, its challenges, and its customers
• (Desirable) Experience in designing WCAG compliant, accessible interfaces
• (Desirable) Experience working in Enterprise
