Senior Product Designer

Today, over 100 million Americans don’t want or can’t get a credit card. Yet, there are very few alternatives for establishing your credit other than with a risky Credit Card. Our mission is to make credit building safer, smarter, and more accessible for everyone. Extra is the first debit card that builds your credit history and earns rewards points just like a credit card. Our technology uses your cash history to determine your spending limit, so there’s no need for a credit check.

What we’re looking for:

Extra is looking for a Senior Product Designer to come join our Product team. We are looking for an highly motivated individual and excellent leader who can break down high level goals from product leadership and guide the design team to design excellent experiences that scales for existing and future challenges.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the junior design team as their senior manager
• Manage Extra’s overall UI library and dynamic UI scalability/direction
• Maintain and set up design infrastructure
• Assess industry landscape and provide recommendations based off market research
• Manage and report usability of our products
• Contribute to the creation of our design system and best practices
• Coordinate with testing recruitment an manage the overall usability testing
• Take responsibility for the design of the product

Minimum Basic Requirements

• Figma mastery
• Experience in working in a high growth or consumer start up environment
• Experience working in the fintech industry
• Demonstrate component and dynamic driven UI
• Excellent communication, delegation, and time-management skills
• Passionate about design and curating a quality user experience
• An online portfolio to show your previous work

Preferred Qualifications

• Alignment to the mission of bringing financial accessibility for all
• Previous experience with measuring usability with various tools (hotjar, usability hub, etc)
• Experience running real-time usability tests
