What’s the role?

As a Product Designer on the Enablement team, you’ll help us improve how internal teams access information and leverage machine learning. Your internal customers will include engineers, machine learning scientists, analysts, product managers, and more. This role combines technical complexity with high impact — your work will make it possible for consumer-facing teams to realize their dreams for our buyers and sellers.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Design Manager.  For this role, we are considering candidates based in Mexico who are either remote, flex, or office-based. What’s this team like at Etsy?

Join a team focused on and passionate about machine learning, data and experimentation. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers and analysts. Together you’ll deliver solutions to challenging problems and get feedback directly from our customers. 

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Discovering insights, opportunities, and requirements
• Testing prototypes and hypotheses with users to collect feedback
• Sharing your work to peers and leadership, async and in-person
• Taking part in weekly design critiques, workshops, all hands and squad meetings
• Thinking and writing about your process and documenting your decisions

Senior Product Designer at Etsy means:

• You can run independently or give direction to designers within your team
• You can lead workshops and effectively align the group around a vision and approach
• You have a track record of designing complex flows and customer journeys
• You can think and design at a system level, not just interface elements or pages
• You’ll regularly make use of your soft skills: listening, negotiating, decision-making
• You’ll spend time providing mentorship to other designers
• You’ll play a key part in hiring, onboarding, and improving our team’s culture and engagement
