Senior Product Designer - Engagement

As the Senior Product Designer for the Engagement Squad, you will design tailored product experiences for SumUp merchants on Mobile and Web. Your primary focus will be to educate users on the SumUp ecosystem, its products, and its behaviour, using intuitive and straightforward design, clear messaging, and visual cues to guide users.

To achieve this, you will analyse user behaviour and feedback to refine the design, ensuring daily interaction with the product is as rewarding and successful as possible. You will conduct rapid experiments to learn and improve the user experience, testing different design ideas and making adjustments based on user feedback.

Collaboration with the product teams is critical to ensure the design aligns with the overall engagement strategy and supports the team's goals. You will work closely with the PM and EM to understand the latest priorities and ensure the design meets the Engagement Squad's objectives. Your work will be essential in driving engagement and retention rates, ultimately contributing to the long-term success of SumUp and its merchants.

You’ll be great for this role if:

• You worked for 6+ years as a highly skilled and innovative UX/UI designer across Android, iOS, and Web platforms.
• Your self-driven and motivated attitude, combined with your storytelling abilities, allows you to create compelling and memorable design experiences that captivate and delight users.
• You have a deep understanding of user behaviour and can translate user needs and pain points into effective design solutions that create engaging and delightful user experiences.
• You utilise an iterative design approach incorporating user feedback and rapid experimentation to improve and refine your designs continuously.
• You are proficient in analytics, using data to measure the effectiveness of your designs and make data-driven decisions that improve user experience.
• You possess excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, allowing you to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and customers to ensure project goals are met and design requirements are fulfilled.
• You are skilled in facilitating design thinking workshops to promote communication, understanding, and creativity among team members.
• You possess excellent documentation skills and can effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to team members and stakeholders.
