About Coda

Coda started with an observation: In a world full of applications, why do documents and spreadsheets still run everything? And why haven't they been meaningfully updated in over 50 years? Coda is a new doc that's familiar and flexible like the documents you're used to, but comes with building blocks you can combine to create docs as powerful as apps. It's a big product with an even bigger mission. And we need your help to spread the word! We're backed by some of the Valley's leading venture capitalists, and have assembled a world-class team across offices in San Francisco, Mountain View, and Seattle, and remote employees all over the US. About the Role

Join the teams of designers, product managers, and engineers focused on building a thriving Ecosystem of solutions built on Coda. Our goal is for anyone to eventually build on top Coda and then publish their own solutions in our gallery. This hasn't been done before in docs — and can help transform Coda into the "operating system" of teams of the future if we get this right. Today we're doing this through two areas: publishing Docs and building Packs.

These are the types of problems you might work on:

• How might we make it easier for developers and makers to build on top of Coda?
• How might we make it easy to discover new ways to use Coda?
• How might we make it easy to share a doc with the world?
• How might we create a community of makers?

In this role you will:

• Work on a important product area within our Ecosystem team , either Packs or Publishing
• Design new products and crucial feature improvements, from visioning to the final pixels
• Collaborate with other Product Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and Marketing to determine both long-term goals and short-term product improvements
• Report to the Design Lead of Ecosystem & Leads

You may be a great fit for this role if:

• Your past work radiates intentionality and craft, from visual to product design
• You're eager to talk to customers and learn about their needs, frustrations and goals
• You have experience starting and leading your own projects
• You can explain your designs, process and tradeoffs to people across the company
• You excel in ambiguous product spaces and are eager to ship quickly and iterate quickly
• You're eager to help other designers grow and invest in the design team culture
• Eagerness and experience turning complex problems into simple solutions
• You have at least 5 years of experience working as a Product Designer at tech company
