You will partner closely with design, product and engineering teams to execute on the company mission of creating safe and easy access to cannabis – an exciting opportunity to shape the future of this industry!

As an experienced designer, you have an undeniably strong passion for the quality of our craft, our design process and design systems. Additionally, you will take an active role in mentoring, leveling up others and raising the overall bar for our design org. You will be a key team member that helps take our products, features and experiences from start to finish.

What You'll Do...

• Work through complex design problems from beginning to end, translating insights from research, analytics and customer feedback into seamless concepts and features. 
• Build high-quality prototypes to efficiently gather feedback, evaluate viability and build iteratively. 
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback from customers to inform design decisions.
• Work closely with your cross functional partners (product, research and engineering) as you build, iterate on, and ship features that contribute to the overall roadmap and vision. 
• Facilitate smooth and actionable communication between other designers, stakeholders and cross-functional partners. 
• Take a leadership role through collaboration and regular feedback to other members of the design team, ensuring proper scope, design pattern adherence, and execution of UX best practices.  You will help keep a high bar for design consistency and coherence across features. Your expertise will help us continuously improve our design processes, principles, and tooling. 
• Utilize, contribute and build upon Dutchie’s design systems.

What You Bring...

• 5+ years of experience in the complete end-to-end product design and development process, including research, problem-solving, UI, visual, and interaction design.
• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating experience in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design.
• Extensive background designing on multi-platforms across desktop web applications and mobile. 
• Experience embedded in a team with close collaboration across design, product management, engineering, analytics and research. 
• Mastery of design and prototyping tools such as Figma and fluency with tools of the trade (eg Jira, confluence, etc)
• Strong sense of self-direction and thrive in an autonomous work environment. You have a collaborative "We not I" mentality, which enables you to work effectively with others towards common goals.
• Low ego and open minded. You are an advocate for collaboration and anticipate the needs of the team at-large, bringing an empathetic and humble approach to everything you do.

It's a bonus if you...

• Experience working with point of sale, payments, and ecommerce systems, as well as delivery and fintech products.
• Experience working in compliance and regulatory industries.

You’ll Get…

Cash compensation range: $136,000 - $184,000 USD annually
