The Tock Design team is looking for a Senior Product Designer for our Design Systems team! You’ll join a mission-driven design team and company dedicated to supporting restaurants and the hospitality industry. We’re building innovative and powerful tools that fundamentally change how restaurants, wineries, and culinary businesses operate. We’re creating a search and discovery network that connects these businesses with millions of diners around the world, giving consumers a trusted guide to find delicious experiences from destination-worthy and award-winning spots to neighborhood favorites. And we’re growing our design team to make it all happen.

As a Senior Product Designer on the Design Systems team, you’ll support the evolution, growth, and adoption of our design system. You’ll lead the creation of new components that enable product designers and engineers to build accessible, high-quality products across both our guest experience and customer dashboard. You’ll establish strong partnerships with our engineering teammates to guide the development and rollout of these components. You’ll create the documentation and process that teaches product designers and engineers how to use and take advantage of our design system.

The Senior Product Designer, Design Systems position will report to the Product Design Manager, and can be located in Chicago or work remote from anywhere in the USA.

• Uphold Tock’s commitment to quality through our design system and set of components
• Explore and collaborate with product designers and engineers on the creation of new components
• Write documentation that communicates how components work and how they should be implemented
• Partner with engineering to oversee the rollout and adoption of components
• Provide candid, constructive design feedback to your teammates and their projects
• Stay up-to-date with current design trends and technologies to constantly propose or question how our team, tools, and product can evolve
• Support new design teammates with design system training

Who We’re Looking For 

• At least 5 years of experience working within a product design organization 
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to design systems and a portfolio to demonstrate
• You're an expert working in and prototyping with Figma
• You have strong verbal and writing communication skills
• You’re familiar with web accessibility standards and how they apply to UI components
