As a Senior Product Designer, Design Systems at Orum, you will work closely with our product team and developers to create user-centered, elegant, and intuitive digital products. You will drive the strategy and tactical implementation of the design system, working cross-functionally with a talented team to determine the roadmap, build out the components in Figma, and create a living style guide in Storybook with engineering. In collaboration with engineering, product, and designers, you will influence the design of a product that hosts approximately 5 million calls per month.

Salary: $135,000 - $155,000 if you're selected, we'll make an offer within this range that matches the experience you're coming with. We respect your time and don't intend to waste it.

Responsibilities

Work closely with designers and engineers at Orum to develop and refine design patterns, and maintain the design system
Coach designers from different teams on how to best use design systems in their product work
Collaborate with other product designers during feature design to create new components and patterns
Use high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate your design decisions
Organize and maintain robust Figma libraries
Write documentation and usage guidelines for components and patterns
Work across product teams to help define the user experience of new features and improve overall product usability
Strategically collaborate and plan with product, design, engineering, and brand teams to define the future of the design system

Must have

3+ years of professional experience with b2b or enterprise software product design
Exceptionally strong skills in visual design, user interface design, and interaction design
Experience working with web applications
Experience in a high-growth startup
Experience in creating engaging icons, illustrations, and animations that align with brand identity and enhance user experience
Experience in designing with inclusive and accessible best practices
A foundational understanding of HTML/CSS and the ability to communicate effectively with developers about implementation details
The ability to determine when to use the design system and when to deviate from it to create the best product possible
The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
