Senior Product Designer - Design System

About the role:

You’ll be the first to join a dedicated design system team, a truly exciting opportunity for designers looking for ownership.

We’re looking for an experienced product designer to design foundational patterns, UI components, tools, and processes that enable designers and engineers at Ankorstore to create consistent, high quality user experiences at pace. This includes working on Ankolors, the design system and component library that all of Ankorstore’s products are built on.

As a product designer on the team, you’ll work at the intersection of design and engineering, driving both decisions that directly impact the design and code quality of Ankorstore products. You’ll be asked to collaborate with designers and product teams from across the company to design systems, components, and tools that raise the quality and consistency.

• Design and maintain the components, UI patterns, and documentation for Ankolors, Ankorstore’s design system and component library
• Work side-by-side with product designers, engineers, brand designers, and other stakeholders from around the company to develop the tools and processes they need to build world-class user experiences
• Write documentation and usage guidelines that teach designers and engineers how to use components and patterns across design and code
• Design low-level, foundational systems and frameworks that enable product designers and engineers to create high quality user experiences across different product areas, geographies, and platforms

What we are looking for

• You are passionate about making the complex simple and have great attention to detail
• You have a strong understanding of front end development
• You’ve worked on design systems across desktop, mobile web and native mobile applications
• You ideally have extensive experience in ecommerce
• 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer with at least 3 in a function related to Design Systems
• Make an impact: You want to design a product that is used by tens of thousands of companies, in a fast-growing environment.
• Leadership skills: You are passionate about management and demonstrated your ability to grow people through mentoring more junior designers or apprentices.
• Extensive knowledge and experience designing in Figma.
• Continuous improvement: You have a track record of moving fast, iterating and testing things and learn from your mistakes
• Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback
• Eager to be part of a fast-paced environment in a hyper-growth company.
• Fluency in English and other European languages a plus!
