As a seasoned Senior Product Designer specialising in SaaS technology, your role is pivotal in steering the continuous improvement and optimisation of our Software as a Service (SaaS) product. Your impact extends beyond aesthetics; you are a driving force in shaping the user experience, contributing your expertise in designing digital products, and leading experimentation initiatives. Your creative acumen is instrumental in helping to ship innovative digital products, ultimately enhancing the overall performance and user satisfaction of our product. In the realm of SaaS, your design prowess is not just a visual endeavour; it's a strategic imperative.

A Typical Day

Be a key player in the product design team, collaborating and mentoring other junior members of the team and helping them deliver the best work
Contribute to our Galaxy design system, maintaining design excellence and continuous improvement across a suite of products on desktop, tablet and mobile
Working closely with project managers, engineers and other relevant stakeholders like support, sales and customer experience people, as well as getting buy-in from heads of departments and executive people
Sketch out and prototype ideas to access viability, and design the fine grained details of interactions
Iterate based on the feedback of the whole team and on the results of usability tests with our users
You own the success or failure of the design work, and you are quick to take action with project managers & engineering to improve the shipped work.
Conduct customer engagement sessions, where you will go out of your way to meet with them in their restaurants or remotely and understand how they use our products and what their biggest challenges are.

Your Expertise

You care about improving the hospitality space and helping small/medium businesses and enterprise customers reach new heights
Experienced in working on a product-led growth design team or growth-oriented projects
You have experience designing digital products and systems, not just websites
Helped to ship digital products before
You thrive working under pressure and have the ability to work across multiple teams and bring together ideas from various stakeholder groups.
Take initiative and be proactive; your motto is “Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.”
You have a deep appreciation of the entire product process, from problem discovery through to detailed UI and visual design
You are an excellent communicator when it comes to your work and your rationale behind proposals
Experienced in facilitating workshops before and you are more than comfortable leading and unblocking other teams in creative ways and formats, whether remote or in-person
You know Figma inside and out, and you love to geek-out about design systems and design trends
Experienced around tools like Dovetail, Maze, Mixpanel, Intercom or other similar tools
