GitHub is looking for an experienced Product Designer to join the Communities Design team. This role will be integral to shaping the connective experiences that support maintainers and the communities they steward. You will work on existing foundational products such as GitHub Sponsors, Discussions, and User Profiles. You’ll also explore and lead new product opportunities aimed to help people discover open source software projects and to help software makers receive more recognition.

The GitHub Product Design Team is a group of talented individuals with varied backgrounds in product design, design systems, design ops, front-end development, and illustration. You'll focus on building high-quality experiences for customers by working with engineers, product managers, and other product designers to create and advocate for high-quality design.
Product Designers at GitHub are expert individual contributors; they're given a lot of autonomy and trust to work on our most impactful design projects. For this specific role, we're looking for someone who values the following:
Minimum salary of $104,400 to maximum $221,500 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired in Colorado.
