Collaboration Team
Collaboration is one of the most important aspects of being on a team. At Roblox, we want to empower creator teams to achieve their vision through the synergy of teamwork and collaboration. As a Product Designer on the Collaboration team, you will help Roblox Studio become the best collaboration tool in the world.
We are looking for candidates with experience in developer tools, creative tools, and version control systems. We also prefer candidates with experience and enthusiasm toward partnering with open-source or developer communities.
You Will:
- Collaborate with UX research, Developer Relations, and Data Science to learn how creator teams work together
- Work with Product and Engineering to understand team goals, product goals, success metrics, and technical constraints to guide your design explorations
- Work with other stakeholders on collaborative workflows throughout the entire Roblox ecosystem
- Collaborate with other designers and contribute to team culture and processes
- Work with Engineering to guarantee a high-quality implementation and user experience.
- Report to the Senior Design Manager
- Work on-site three days a week at our San Mateo HQ.
You Have:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer. You have worked with front-end developers who use React or HTML/CSS, (Lua experience a bonus!).
- You have a Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Leadership qualities that will promote quality and consistency across our system, taking the lead to solve tough problems.
- Experience composing and implementing holistic and user-friendly processes and documentation.
- Collaboration skills, you share work early and often and encouraging peers to look for constructive feedback from their manager, partners, teams, and the Product Design team..
- The ability to produce components and patterns that are cohesive with the rest of Roblox's products.
- Worked in figma and are an expert with the tool
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
