As a Senior Product Designer for our Coaching team, you will drive design execution for how WHOOP provides actionable insights to influence long-term behavior change. You’re a mission-driven UX thinker with a strong sense of the user’s needs and how to apply that to your designs, with a refined practice in gathering evidence and communicating your ideas to back up your decisions. You get excited about exploring new functionality and working on challenges that break down complex sports and health sciences into digestible information.

The Coaching team is responsible for creating features on the WHOOP mobile app that empower members to understand behavioral insights, track their progress both physiologically and psychologically, and to recognize trends in their data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a senior-level Product Designer at WHOOP, you will guide design execution with a strong focus on UX thinking, ensuring members can find the information they need and continuously discover new things about themselves.
Own the entire UX design process with a history of launching major features from start to finish
Visually communicate ideas and iterations with peers and stakeholders through sketches, wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototypes
Communicate with excellence in explaining complex themes to get others up to speed quickly
Frame problems based on data and customer insights to inform direction, advocate for the member, and drive business growth
Lead design reviews with metrics-driven outcomes tailored to stakeholders including product managers, engineering, business owners, legal, and market leads
Design for A/B experimentation to examine divergent ideas, validate patterns and flows, and continuously learn
Be a strong thought partner to product managers to ideate high-impact opportunities and plan design artifacts to support developers and QA to ensure what’s built meets your intended designs
Build and promote understanding of our customer base through user research

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 3 years of relevant professional experience working as a product designer for native app consumer experiences
Experience with common design tools and methodologies (e.g. Figma, wireframing, workflow diagrams, prototyping etc)
Experience collaborating with product managers and engineering teams
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup-like environment
A design portfolio with case studies of relevant work you were directly responsible for with demonstrated impact
Curious and passionate about the fitness and wellness space

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
