Senior Product Designer

This is a remote position but must be based in one of the following countries: United States or Canada.

Your work will impact and influence the user experience of a product used by millions of people daily. As a Sr. Product Designer, you will work closely with other designers, engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders. While this is an individual contributor role (not a managerial role with direct reports), we expect our Sr. Product Designers to lead by example and coach the rest of our organization into doing their best work.

What you'll do

• Demonstrated talent and passion for designing end-to-end user experiences.
• Distill complex problems into digestible steps, and communicate proactively.
• Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers and other stakeholders to craft useful, delightful product experiences.
• Partners with engineering leaders to discuss technical tradeoffs that affect roadmaps.
• Facilitates design reviews w/ cross-functional teams.
• Apply your product design skills throughout the product development lifecycle from researching and sketching to polished interface designs.
• Works towards becoming domain professional.
• Share what you learn internally and with the broader public designer and developer communities.
• Identifies designer areas for growth and helps them grow.
• Support the team’s current, and long-term objectives.
• Influence and contribute to internal process and design culture, support the team’s current, and long-term objectives.
• Brings in new tools and techniques for improving workflows, creates designs, UX Flows, and documents output for engineering and PM.
• Finds ways to grow design eminence in the organization, spends time evangelizing design decisions throughout the org that would benefit other teams and product areas.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

• Strong user experience and visual design skills, this is an end-to-end UX to UI role.
  
• 5+ years working in professional UX or product design roles.
  
• A portfolio of relevant user experience and visual design work is required.
• Deep understanding of human centered design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical expertise and an understanding of network services a plus.

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $135,000 - $165,000.
