Meet your team

Our product designers are deeply embedded in our product teams including engineers, product managers, UX researchers, QA, analysts. The design team ensures a coherent experience throughout all the touch-points across the customer journey. The Senior Product Designer reports to the VP Design, Katharina Birkenbach. 

As a product designer, you advocate for our diverse customers ranging from chefs to restaurant managers, from farmers to food suppliers. Through research and interviews you will develop a deep understanding of the user's needs and incorporate these insights to help drive product decisions and a human-centered design approach.

What you’ll do

• Partner with product managers, engineers, brand design, marketing and other stakeholders to design user experiences from discovery to launch
• Plan and conduct user research together with our user researchers from discovery to testing prototypes
• Own and align the design direction across a particular vertical, lead designers across various squads in that vertical, collaborate with the product owner and engineers to ensure a coherent experience throughout all touch-points of the customer journey
• Tasks include user research, wireframing, low and high fidelity designs, UX flows, design systems, prototyping
• Manage 1-2 designers, including mentoring and supporting with career development

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer working in cross-functional teams 
• Solid background in user research and usability testing, able to turn insights into value-adding features and improvements
• Extensive experience in end to end design and development of exceptional products
• In depth understanding of design tools (we use Figma) and how to bring design ideas to life with low and high fidelity prototypes
• A portfolio showcasing complex web and mobile applications across the entire product development cycle
• Skilled at developing and maintaining design systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, able to present design strategies and user insights confidently to stakeholders, building trusting & collaborative relationships
• Passionate, bold, pragmatic, detail oriented
