Job Description

Wish is seeking a Senior Product Designer to drive the cart and checkout areas of our consumer product. This area is crucial to the success of Wish and requires a keen design eye to determine what details and features best help a customer understand what they’re purchasing and all the details associated with that.

Helping users feel confident and safe in their purchases is an important part of this role. As this is prime real estate in any e-commerce product you will work closely with many partners to determine what best serves the customer and what would distract or dilute the efficacy of this vital part of the purchasing funnel. You will work closely with data science and research to determine opportunities to better optimize these pages as well as address the pain points of customers.

Who you are:

  • You are a strong design thinker and practitioner who knows how to find the balance between customer experience and business outcomes.
  • You set the bar high, and you know what great craftsmanship looks like.  Your talent should be evident in your portfolio or case studies, demonstrating skill across platforms.
  • You advocate for our user experience, product design consistency, brand voice, and design excellence, promoting design education within the greater organization.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate, influence, and negotiate - You are an expert collaborating across different business units and advocate for product consistency. You influence senior leadership within the company and rally them around doing right by the customer or merchant. You negotiate tactical tradeoffs with other cross-functional partners in an effort to balance design excellence and roadmap completion.
  • Represent and advocate for your area’s priorities - You are an advocate for the design voice in the planning & development process, with a focus on cross-functional alignment and work prioritization.
  • Work closely with design leadership - You partner across the organization to ensure a cohesive user experience across the marketplace, and help shape the culture of the design organization.
  • Develop the design system - You understand best practices on growing, maintaining, and documenting large design systems. Experience working with front-end engineering teams on implementation is a plus.
