Who we are looking for:
BuildOps is looking for a talented senior product designer who will be responsible for owning our design system and working on key product areas. This candidate will join a well-funded, fast-growing startup with the unique opportunity to help build and improve critical parts of the product for our customers.

As a Product Designer, you will:
● Have ownership of multiple product areas and contribute towards their evolution over time.
● Independently own the end-to-end design process from user flow diagrams to polished designs that are ready for engineering handoff.
● Participate in discovery calls with our users and synthesize research into key insights that will support your decisions.
● Partner with product managers and collaborate throughout the design process to deliver solutions that bring value to our users and our business.
● Work closely with engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, constraints and iterate on ideas quickly.
● Contribute to our design system and ensure consistency and scalability of design patterns across BuildOps.
● Participate in design reviews by sharing work with the team and providing constructive feedback to the other team members.
● Actively iterate and improve our internal processes, helping us become more effective and efficient as a team.
● Contribute to the design team’s culture of collaboration and support!
Requirements to be successful in this role:
● 5+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of delivering successful products from concept to launch.
● Expert proficiency in Figma
● Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and methodologies, with experience conducting user research and usability testing.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to diverse audiences.
● Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading design projects and mentoring junior team members.
● A passion for design and a relentless commitment to creating exceptional user experiences.
Nice to have:
● Familiarity with the commercial trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and/or construction
● Experience working on enterprise or vertical SaaS
● An understanding of HTML and CSS principles
● Familiarity with tools like Dovetail, UserVoice, Pendo, and Jira
