The Role Overview

The FT Professional Product Group is hiring for a Senior Product Designer, the role will report into the Associate Director of Product Design. As a key priority area for the company, the role will require a highly adaptable designer who is able to move from vision and new concept work to detail oriented high quality craft on existing products.

Key Responsibilities 

• Owning, driving and scaling products from the beginning to the end.
• Working with and contributing to the design system for professional products.
• Mentoring junior members of the team and progressing the quality of design.
• Facitiate design reviews and critiques to ensure collaborative outcomes.
• Taking initiative in setting up systems that allow consistent uplevelling of design outcomes.
• Leading highly collaborative design processes through ideation all the way to high spec design.
• Ability to connect your work to an existing and mature product while also pushing design quality throughout the product.

Required Experience

• Experience working at scale for a product that impacts millions of users.
• Highly skilled in visual, interaction & systems design processes.
• Being product minded and ability to align user and commercial outcomes.
• Experience of and knowledge working in Figma and other prototyping tools.
• Experience planning research initiatives and interviewing users alongside user researchers. 

Essential

• You have demonstrable experience of partnering with counterparts in a cross functional way within and outside the tech parts of the business.
• You have experience working on developing new products and establishing a clear vision alongside research & product partners.
• Experience working with complex B2B products.

Desirable

• Experience or interest in data visualisation
• Interest or experience in using and experimenting with AI and new tech
