Senior Product Designer

We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer who is passionate about shaping the future of data tools. Our team care deeply about crafting software that is highly functional, performant, and delightfully simple to use. Joining at this early stage will give you the unique opportunity to help develop the culture, define principles, and collaborate with design peers to set a coherent direction for our product.

Day to day, you’ll spend time embedded in cross-functional product teams, working closely with product and engineering to lead a collaborative product design process end-to-end. That’ll mean digging beneath the surface to understand real problems from customers; going wide and getting creative in ideation, and creating high-quality designs, interactions, and prototypes that solve problems in satisfying ways. You’ll also be supported by an experienced Head of Design to bounce ideas and hone a look and feel that is defining in our space.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will:

• Create a collaborative, cross-functional design process to shape new features.
• Craft an attractive and unified design language across all our interfaces.
• Sketch, wireframe, prototype, and design new workflows in tools like Figma that get customers to value faster.
• Join design reviews and share work regularly with the wider team.
• Talk to customers to understand and champion their needs.
• Partner with Product to frame design decisions in the wider company vision.

You might be a good fit if:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a product design role shipping features that customers love.
• You have a strong portfolio of work demonstrating your visual design sense, covering color, type, layout, interaction design, and state interpolation.
• You are a systems thinker, and are confident working with dense information architectures.
• You are are excited about building technical tools, and have a track record of shipping product features from zero to one.
• You have experience working in data-heavy domains like developer tools or analytics.
• You are comfortable building and tearing down fast, and enjoy prototyping to get ideas into customer’s hands sooner.
• You have clear written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy interfacing with technical teams.
• You are eager to develop your craft, and to shape design culture in a growing team.
• Bonus: Technical proficiency or understanding of front-end code. Relevant languages include React, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
• Bonus: Experience working in a remote/async team across multiple timezones.
