About the role:

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll be the team’s design expert. You’ll focus on delivering the best possible experience for our end users as well as admins. You will work closely with the rest of the Product team (Product Managers, Product Designers and Product Analyst) to turn conceptual ideas and hypotheses into valuable experiences. You will be tasked with taking the overall product experience to the next level.

• Conduct evaluative user research to define the problems worth solving
• Facilitate ideation workshops to generate creative solutions
• Craft the best solutions for our users
• Create prototype and get feedback from user testing sessions
• Drive the evolution and adoption of the design system
• Document the research findings and design choices
• Act as an advocate for our users, both within the product team and the rest of the organisation.
• Share your knowledge and empower the Design team
• Follow-up of the implementation of your work with the development team
• Improve our Product Design processes and methodologies

The experience we require:

• At least 5 years experience in a Product Designer role with a proven track record to build innovative tech products from the ground up
• Proven working knowledge of design tools (Figma) and prototyping
• Significant experience in Design Thinking and Lean Startup
• Turn user problems detected across all feedback channels into product opportunities.
• Can reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use
• Used to work in close collaboration with PM & engineers to oversee the development of a product from problem definition, conception to launch. You are a team player - you always demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude and want to work in a team
• Obsessed by simplicity, you have strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• You explain and document. You know why you’re designing this way. You take care of explaining the foundations of your design choices. Your design productions are never shared without context.
• You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is key to your role and to the design team in general.
• Creativity & proactivity - you can find creative and simple solutions to tricky problems, using new approaches, tools and/or testing new ways of leveraging data

Other qualities that would add value:

• Entrepreneurial experience.
• Experience working with small retailers or brands.
• German, Dutch or Spanish is a plus.
