WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Are you delighted by finding ways to tell clear stories with complex data? We are seeking a fearless and passionate Senior Product Designer to join Braze’s Intelligence Team.
Product Designers at Braze have the freedom to work on all aspects of the user experience, with particular strength in at least one area of user experience, or service design — user research, user flows, wireframing, diagramming, interaction design, rapid prototyping, design documentation, or motion design, to name a few examples.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You’ll primarily be working with our Intelligence Team, a team focused on innovating AI and Machine learning features that enable marketers to more effectively engage with end-users. In this role, you will define and design intuitive features – translating data and quantitative reasoning into simple tools and visualizations. Through research you’ll identify, and prioritize problems to solve and design experiences to offer best-in-class marketing tools.
You will be expected to collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, UX researchers, engineers, and your fellow product designers to deliver solutions that make Braze an easier and more enjoyable product to work with. You will need to understand our users and our business, and you will be expected to be an effective verbal and visual communicator.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Strong wireframing/prototyping skills
- Strong visual design skills
- Experience in data visualization
- Comfortable with ambiguity, and learning through experimentation
- Ability to think holistically about users’ end-to-end product experience
- Experience conducting research/partnering with user researchers
- Experience partnering with engineers, product managers, product marketers and technical writers to release features, products, and/or services
- Experience working on complex applications
- Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
- 3 years of professional experience in a related field
WHAT CAPTURES OUR ATTENTION
- Significant experience with any aspect of lifecycle marketing
- Technical aptitude - familiarity with AI, machine learning, or statistics
- Expertise in data visualization
- Advanced degree in HCI, interaction design, or service design
- Portfolio demonstrating the why’s of the design decision supported by user insights, data or technical limitations
- Experience shipping high impact features
- Experience working on SaaS products
- Experience in an Agile organization, working in cross-functional teams / pods / verticals
- Prior experience at high-growth startups
