What’s the role?

The Marketing Technology team is responsible for our best in class marketing stack. With platforms to support new markets, SEO, offsite ads, CRM and more, this stack empowers Etsy’s Marketing team to reach customers around the world. As a Senior Product Design Manager in this role, you’ll provide design leadership across our key initiatives to enable Marketing to more efficiently drive buyer growth, and support marketing’s efforts to reach new sellers and guide them on how to grow their business on Etsy. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional leads to craft the vision, strategy and operations for our initiatives, while coaching and mentoring the talented group of product designers that report to you.   

This is a full-time position reporting to the Product Design Director for Enablement and Marketing Technology. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Mexico City office in an in-person or flex capacity. Join a team focused on enabling Etsy’s marketing team to reach customers around the world. Together the team delivers creative solutions to challenging problems, pressure testing ideas through research and experiments, getting direct feedback from customers (both internal and external). You’ll collaborate with cross-functional leads to craft the vision, strategy and operations of our initiative, while coaching and mentoring the talented group of product designers that report to you. 

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Lead regular design reviews, critiques, and brainstorming sessions for your teams
• Facilitate continuous learning and improvement for the product design team and its members
• Recruit and hire outstanding design talent and facilitate onboarding of new designers
• Work alongside the broader Design Leadership team to craft our teams’ culture, processes, and tools
• Ensure we are building the right products for our customers, and help teams take the best near-term steps toward their long-term vision
• Advocate for our customer, and guide teams to deliver well-executed, on-brand, accessible experiences
• Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law
